Oath of the Maji is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Warden of the Maji that grants bonuses if you have equipment with no gems socketed inside.
Mechanics
Note that the equipment must be equipped; an empty or disabled equipment slot will not grant the bonus.
Defences from Equipped Body Armour are doubled if it has no Socketed Gems: This stat effectively doubles the base defences of your body armour, after factoring quality and other local modifiers. This doubled value is used when calculating modifiers like #% increased Armour from Equipped Body Armour.

Escape Artist, granting additional global energy shield based on double the evasion of the body armour.
This passive grants extremely strong effects while levelling, providing +50% elemental resistances or 30% Movement Speed at the cost of 4 sockets.
