Manabond is a lightning spell that deals additional base damage based on your missing mana. It also has a bigger length, depending on a percentage of your remaining unreserved mana.

• Repeated casts of manabond will determine their damage and AOE from current mana, not initial mana when the first cast was performed. Recovering mana while repeating manabond will reduce damage and increase AOE.
• Manabond's effectiveness of added damage does not apply to the damage gained from missing mana, as this is added as base damage not added damage.
• When cast with at least 25% remaining mana, four rectangular extensions are added to the four sides of the central area forming an X-pattern. Their length increases for every 25% of remaining unreserved maximum mana, up to 4 times at 100% remaining, which will require bypassing the skill's mana cost, using effects or skills such as Vaal Clarity. Increased AOE scales both the size of the central square, and these extensions, making the whole X-pattern larger.

• If used with Eldritch Battery, Manabond will still cost energy shield based on max mana, not max energy shield, with excess cost rolling over into mana. However, given enough energy shield, this can be a way to cast Manabond even with 0 current mana for high damage, without bypassing the cost entirely. Mana can be kept at 0 via the Omeyocan unique boots.
