Bear Trap of Skewers throws a trap that deals physical damage to the enemy that triggered it and applies impale with greatly increased effect. Any impaled enemy killed by Bear Trap of Skewers will deal all stored impaled damage as reflected damage to surrounding enemies.

Changes from default version

Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version has less base physical damage and lower added damage effectiveness. Instead of applying a debuff that decreases movement speed and increases trap and mine damage taken, it impales the target with greatly increased effect and causes impaled targets killed by the trap to deal all stored impale damage as reflected damage to surrounding enemies.

Skill functions and interactions

• Secondary damage: Bear Traps deal secondary damage. It doesn't benefit from modifiers to spells and attacks, and therefore cannot be blocked/spell blocked or dodged/spell dodged.

• Duration: The base duration of the immobilization effect is 150ms per % of enemy max life dealt as damage, to a maximum of 1/3 of max life. Modifiers to skill duration alter both the lifetime of the trap and the duration of the immobilization. This immobilization is not considered a stun, and will not interact with modifiers that affect stuns.

• Killing Blow: When this trap deals a killing blow to an impaled target all damage stored in impales on that target is dealt as reflected damage to nearby enemies. This includes damage from impales inflicted by the killing blow and will work on targets that were only impaled by the killing blow. Note that the killing blow must be a hit from Bear Trap of Skewers. Enemies impaled by this trap but killed by any other means (even ailment damage from this trap) will not deal impale damage to surrounding targets.
