Snipe is a skill gem that supports linked bow skills. It is a channellingbowattack that gains stages while channelling. When released, it triggers a linked non-channelling bow skill for each stage stored and deals more damage per stage. If Snipe is not linked to any applicable skills, it instead fires its own arrow.

Mana manipulation
By reserving a large portion of mana and hving skill cost be insufficient to channel past the first stage, it is possible to make Snipe repeatedly fire after the first stage, providing a massive bonus to attack speed.[1]
The first stage of Snipe has a hidden interaction that causes it to take half the time to channel compared to subsequent stages, providing an effective 360% modifier of base attack speed if channelling stops at the first stage.[2]
Snipe has a cooldown of 0.05 seconds, rounded up to the nearest server tick, providing a cooldown of 0.066 seconds. This results in a default maximum of 15.15 triggers per second.
At the next cooldown threshold breakpoint (52% increased cooldown recovery rate), the maximum trigger rate is 30.3 per second.
