Kosis, The Revelation is one of two Delirium bosses, alongside with Omniphobia, Fear Manifest. He can be encountered within the SimulacrumHow do you defeat that which dwells within you?Open a Delirium portal by using this item in a personal Map Device. Can only be used once., a map fragment that uses one of the following layouts: Lunacy's Watch, The Bridge Enraptured, The Syndrome Encampment, Hysteriagate and Oriath Delusion. Additionally, Kosis may be encountered in maps through the Delirium mirror or Delirium orbs.
Mechanics
Depending on the map level if encountered within one, Kosis' ability pool may be subject to variation. However, this guide is applicable to all variations.
Kosis has a significant amount of energy shield. Chaos damage taken by Kosis does not bypass energy shield.
- Autoattack: His melee attacks differ based on which arm is used, with the right-hand weapon (square blade, red weapon trail) applying Corrupted Blood and the left-hand weapon (scimitar, purple weapon trail) having 50% Physical to Chaos conversion.
- Fire Flurry: Kosis fires three ground-targeted Fireballs from his left hand with a 50% chance to ignite.
- Lightning Flurry Kosis fires a zig-zagging beam of lightning from his right hand directly in front with a 50% chance to shock.
- Fire Combo: Kosis imbues his weapons with a red/purple weapon effect, then quickly slashes with both weapons before throwing both of his weapons forward (dealing a large AoE hit on contact with an entity or obstacle). He then channels eight waves of three fireballs. The central fireball is larger and always ignites.
- Lightning Combo: Kosis imbues his weapons with a red/purple weapon effect, then quickly slashes with both weapons before throwing both of his weapons forward (dealing a large AoE hit on contact with an entity or obstacle). He then channels eight bolts of lightning that also deal damage in a small cone directly in front of Kosis, leaving a Lightning Volatile at the targeted location.
- Lightning Volatiles explode on contact, always applying shock| as well as applying a 20% increased damage taken debuff for 2 seconds.
- Demon Beam: Kosis gains 15% of his Life as Energy Shield, and channels a wide black beam at a targeted location, creating a Death Zone over 10 seconds that increases in size. Fully depleting his energy shield while he is channelling will briefly stun him, ending the skill prematurely. The beam applies the Chilling Vision debuff to nearby enemies, dealing physical and cold damage over time and reducing movement speed by 30%, and applies the Electrifying Sight debuff on contact, dealing physical and lightning damage over time.
- Death Zone: Applies the Chilling Vision debuff to nearby enemies, dealing physical and cold damage over time and reducing movement speed by 30%, and applies the Electrifying Sight debuff on contact, dealing physical and lightning damage over time.
- Demon Orb Detonation: Kosis drops onto a Death Zone near a target, causing up to 8 consecutive ring-shaped shockwaves to radiate outwards, based on the size of the Death Zone. Ignores walls and obstacles. The shockwaves can also cause other Death Zones to detonate and create shockwaves on contact.
- Teleport Attack: Kosis teleports to a distant target, creating a small Death Zone at the previous location.
