For the non-Vaal counterpart, see Double Strike.

Vaal Double Strike is a vaal melee skill that performs two fast attacks and summons two doubles of the character to attack monsters for a duration.

Skill function and interactions

Using this skill spawns two clones of your character which uses Double Strike to attack. The clone gains all the effects on the character such as auras and flasks and is immune to all forms of damage.

Unlike similar skills that creates clones of your character like Mirror Arrow, the clones are not classified as a minion so they will not benefit from any effects regarding minions.

The clones create a visual snapshot of the character upon usage of the skill, which includes visual effects like charges or monster auras stolen by HeadhunterHeadhunter

Version History

Version Changes
1.1.0d
  • Vaal Skill soul counts were initially balanced for Merciless difficulty, where there are more monsters. We want them to be easier to use in Normal and Cruel difficulty. We have halved the number of souls required for each skill. In Cruel difficulty, skills require 50% more souls to uses. In Merciless difficulty, they require 100% more (which is the same as before the patch).
