Tainted Mythic Orb is a currency item that unpredictably either upgrades a corrupted item to unique rarity or destroys it.

This item can be obtained from Scourge encounters.

Version history

Version	Changes
3.16.0b	The Tainted Mythic Orb can now unpredictably upgrade Corrupted items to Unique items even if their item level is lower than when it would normally be able to drop. Prior to this change, the orb would fail to apply to the item if there were no valid Unique items to upgrade to.
3.16.0	Tainted Mythic Orb has been added to the game.

Notes

• Tainted Mythic Orb cannot be used on league-specific items (such as Cluster jewels).
• It is possible to upgrade a corrupted fractured item to a corrupted fractured unique item. The fracture modifier can change to another fractured modifier.
