Item pieces are an item class of item fragments found exclusively with Harbinger mechanic. All pieces of an particular item can be forged into the full unique item.
The piece only dropped as unique rarity. However, when it is unidentified, it is known as item piece of its basetype.
In the text copied from using Control + C keybind (in PC), the item class is spelled in plural: Pieces, despite according to announcement, it should be spelled in singular as Piece.[1].
