Lore

According to Siosa, Icius Perandus knew Malachai.

From Siosa's translation on the Golden Page:

My dearest Icius,

I have been enlightened beyond expectation. Your work in translating these artefacts is worthy of the highest recompense, and thus I am delighted to offer you a position in my personal laboratory. Please do not give your escorts any consternation. I would be most pained to see such a precious asset damaged in any way.

I very much look forward to working with you, Icius Perandus.

Your friend and admirer,

Malachai

Golden Page

The relation between Chitus and Icius is unknown, apart from sharing the same family name. Since Malachai was the thaumaturgist of Chitus, but Malachai was offering a position to Icius, it may mean Icius may have a lower social status than Chitus.

Icius hid the Golden Pages in the The Archives. According to the Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Rusted Expedition Scarab", Icius escaped from Malachai with the help of the Order of the Djinn. Thereafter, he joined the Order, and had planned to protect against Cadiro Perandus' theft and plundering of Perandus family artefacts. Since Icius Perandus is a member of the Order, he likely also contributed to collecting artefacts for them.

Note that in the "present" timeline of the game, Jun is the last surviving member of the Order of the Djinn, when they were betrayed by Janus Perandus, an orphan that was fostered by the Order. The family tree of both Jun, Janus and Icius are not known, though Janus, Icius, and Chitus bear the same surname.

Since version 3.16.0, Cadiro Perandus and the Perandus Scarabs were removed from the game. Thus, it is unknown if the backstory of Icius Perandus is still canon or not.
