Bonechill Support is a support gem that provides damage bonuses, mostly for cold damage over time, against enemies that are standing on chilled ground created by the supported skill, or have been chilled by the supported skill.

Skill functions and interactions

While seemingly redundant, the four lines regarding the damage effect are distinct from one another:

1. Chills caused by a hit skill, with a fixed value for DOT
2. Chills caused by an area skill, with a fixed value for DOT
3. Chills caused by a hit skill, with a scaled effect for DOT and hits
4. Chills caused by an area skill, with a scaled effect for DOT and hits

In all four situations the chill must be caused by a skill, regardless of whether the cold damage originates from a piece of gear, or the skill gem itself. If the enemy is affected by multiple sources of chill, (for example, VortexVortexSpell, AoE, Cold, Duration, Nova
