Kosis, The Revelation is one of two Delirium bosses, alongside with Omniphobia, Fear Manifest. They can be encountered within the SimulacrumHow do you defeat that which dwells within you?Open a Delirium portal by using this item in a personal Map Device. Can only be used once., a map fragment that uses one of the following layouts: Lunacy's Watch, The Bridge Enraptured, The Syndrome Encampment, Hysteriagate and Oriath Delusion. Additionally, Kosis may be encountered in maps affected by the Delirium mist.
Its beam applies the "Electrifying Sight" debuff, dealing Physical and Lightning damage over time.
Mechanics
Depending on the map level if encountered within one, Kosis' ability pool may be subject to variation. However, this guide is applicable to all variations.
Kosis has a large amount of energy shield. Chaos damage taken by Kosis will not bypass this shield.
The melee swings differ in their damage type with the right-hand weapon applying corrupted blood to the player and the left-hand weapon damaging with 50% Physical & 50% Chaos as its source.
Kosis will throw both of the weapons in a frontal-cone attack with each weapon doing the aforementioned damage allowing Kosis to being channelling eight bolts of lightning that will drop Lightning Volatiles near where the player is positioned or where they were hit. The damage source of this attack is 100% lightning damage. Interacting with these volatiles will apply a 30% reduced action speed debuff as well as shocking the player for a 20% increased damage taken.
When Kosis' weapons return this can trigger his channelled beam attack that first begins with Kosis gaining 15% of life as energy shield followed immediately by a wide beam targeted in front of the boss where a black dome will appear and grow bigger as the channelling continues. If the player is nearby when the dome appears it will cause degeneration of health and slow movement speed by 30% - making contact with the dome will inflict additional damage on top of the degen. The damage inflicted if you are nearby is 25% Physical & 75% Cold and contact damage is 25% Physical & 75% Lightning.
Kosis can return to melee combat re-engaging the player by either running or blinking to their location but it can also transition into the detonate portion of the previous attack, the boss will once again teleport to where the dome was placed and with both weapons slam down into its' centre causing multiple shockwaves to spread out. There can be up to eight shockwaves sent out which can detonate any other domes (explained below) in the area, these too will trigger their own shockwaves that all spread about in a radial pattern. The damage of the shockwaves regardless of their source is 20% Physical & 40% Lightning & 40% Cold.
Kosis can throw a volley of three fireballs in frontal-cone. They have 50% chance to ignite, with the damage of the hit and the ignite dealing 100% Fire damage. There is also an eight fireball variation with it being in a wider frontal cone throwing two either side and a larger fireball in the middle, this larger fireball has a 100% chance to ignite.
Kosis can instantly teleport to the player if they get too far away and will drop a smaller dome at his previous location, this can occur multiple times.
Kosis can use a lightning bolt attack in a straight line from its casting point with a 50% chance to shock if it successfully connects with the player. The damage source of this attack is 100% lightning.
Successfully breaking Kosis' energy shield while the dome is being channelled will interrupt the beam attack and stun the boss for a couple of seconds.
The fight is augmented by how many layers of delirium are present when encountered on a map and might explain any perception in low or reduced damage against the boss players feel as shown in the scaling breakdown.
