Both the additional cold resistance and additional maximum cold resistance modifiers are affected by increased aura effect. The following x% increases in aura effect are needed to receive a higher amount of max resistances. At level 23, Purity of Ice grants +5% to maximum Cold Resistance, and +4% at lower levels.

Version history

3.23.0	Alternate quality gems, labyrinth helmet enchantments and unique threshold jewels are all systems that were trying to subtly modify the behaviour of skills. With this expansion these have been combined into a new system called Transfigured Gems that allows us to fully achieve the goal of these three systems, and then some. Anomalous, Divergent and Phantasmal Quality Gems have been removed from the game. Existing alternate Quality Gems now have the base Quality effect found on the respective Gem. Quality now causes you and nearby allies to gain 0-10% additional Cold Resistance, instead of providing 0-40% increased Area of Effect.
3.16.0	Due to the rework of reservation and the introduction of reservation efficiency, Helmet enchantments that previously granted reduced reservation of a specific skill now grant the following values of increased mana reservation efficiency for that skill: Existing items will instead have twice the previous reduced reservation value (generally lower than the new values). Enchantments for skills that have 35% base reservation now grant 30/45% increased mana reservation efficiency.
3.13.0	Anomalous Purity of Ice now grants you and nearby allies 0.25% chance to avoid being frozen per 1% gem quality (from 1% per 1% gem quality). Divergent Purity of Ice now causes your damage and that of nearby allies to penetrate 0.05% of cold resistance per 1% gem quality (from 0.2% per 1% gem quality).
3.12.0	Now has alternative gem quality: Anomalous or Divergent .
3.4.0	Now instant by default and can therefore be used while moving. All instant skills now have cooldown 1 second or less. Instant skills cannot be supported by Spell Echo and will not be cast a second time by similar effects (such as from the Echoing Shrine).
