In battle, the best offense is sometimes the best defense. Those who live to survive for a later battle recognize that there is no shame in flight, when flight is the only option. When haste is needed, there is no better tool than Phase Run. With a cry, the skill imbues the caster with incredible speed, allowing them to sprint past hapless enemies to safety. The enchantment also causes their form to blur, making them less likely to receive attack. If the phased runner chooses to melee an enemy, they will lose their speed burst but deliver a devastating blow to their target.

Phase Run is a spell that applies a buff on the player granting movement speed, phasing and melee damage. Performing any skill replaces the first buff with a second short duration buff that only boosts melee damage.

Skill functions and interactions

Despite the skill tooltip suggesting this isn't the case, the melee damage buff from Phase Run is present during both the initial phasing buff and the secondary buff. This is of little use to players using attacks on their own, but can be beneficial with skills such as Ancestral Protector and Module Error: Too many skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Ancestral Warchief". Please choose only one of the following ids:

Duration: skill duration, buff/debuff duration, the Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Increased Duration Support" gem and frenzy charges increases the duration of both the primary and secondary effect.

Monster Response time: Phase Run causes monsters to fail to respond to the player's presence for slightly longer than normal.

Trigger Gems: When linked to a trigger support gem, Phase Run should be placed as the last skill gem to be triggered, because otherwise it would go straight to the second buff (the one that boosts melee damage for 0.20 seconds) since another skill (the gem(s) linked after it) would be triggered after Phase Run and therefore end its first phase immediately.

Note that helmet enchantments are no longer obtainable since version 3.23.0 and can only be obtained in permanent leagues as already enchanted items from before this patch.
