Mechanics

Non-Unique Utility Flasks you Use apply to Linked Targets: This modifier causes the effects of consumed non-unique utility flasks to also apply to linked targets. These flasks, including their affixes, will benefit the recipient the same as if the recipient had the flasks equipped themselves. In the case that there are multiple of the same flask or flask suffix, only the higher numerical value will apply.

Flask effect modifiers local to the flask such as the increased effect enchant from an Enkindling Orb will benefit both the linker and the link recipient since the flask is being applied to both players. Modifiers that cause flasks applied to you to have increased effect such as the Natural Remedies notable will only increase flask effect on the character that has that modifier.

When first introduced to the game in version 3.21.0, Ceinture of Benevolence had the modifier Flasks you Use apply to Linked Targets. Some unscrupulous players took advantage of this interaction in order to kill characters in hardcore Crucible league, thereby removing them from the ladder. Grinding Gear Games released a hotfix for version 3.21.0 that temporarily prevented Ceinture of Benevolence from dropping and disabled the effect of the modifier that caused flasks to apply to linked targets. Version 3.21.0c reinstated Ceinture of Benevolence to the drop pool and revised the modifier so that its effect applies only to non-unique utility flasks.
