Vaal Righteous Fire

Vaal Righteous Fire is a vaal spell that expends your energy shield and all but 1 life to deal fire damage to surrounding enemies relative to how much life and energy shield was spent.

Skill Functions and Interactions

Low Life: As long as the player does not have Chaos Inoculation, then at the moment that Vaal Righteous Fire deals damage to enemies, the player counts as being on low life. This means that modifiers related to being on low life, such as damage bonuses from Pain Attunement or RedbeakRedbeak

Righteous Fire: If the player has the buff from active, then using Vaal Righteous Fire will immediately end the buff since it brings the player's life to 1. However, the % more Spell Damage modifier of Righteous Fire will still apply to the damage of Vaal Righteous Fire.

Strategy

To prevent the danger of having only 1 life point after use, Vaal Righteous Fire can be supported with , in combination with the Vaal Pact keystone, to instantly replenish some or all of the life that was lost, assuming there are enough targets to leech from. With builds that primarily use energy shield, Ghost Reaver should also be taken in order to regain lost energy shield.
