Vaal Righteous Fire is a vaal spell that expends a percentage of your energy shield and life to burn surrounding enemies for a short period of time, relative to how much life and energy shield was spent.

Skill Functions and Interactions

On-hit effects: The damage you do to yourself when Using Vaal Righteous Fire is not considered a hit on yourself. Thus it will not proc any when-hit effects such as the trigger from the Berserker's Cloaked in Savagery which requires taking a savage hit. For the same reason, it does not interrupt energy shield recharge.

3.14.0	Now deals 80-99% of Sacrificed Energy Shield and Life as Fire Damage per second (previously 161-180%). Now Sacrifices 60% of your total Energy Shield and Life (previously 30%). Now grants 10-19% more Spell Damage (previously 15-28%). Now has a Soul Gain Prevention duration of 6 seconds (previously 12).
3.6.0	Now grants 15% more spell damage while active at gem level 1 (from 20%), up to 28% more spell damage at gem level 20 (from 39%).
3.4.0	Now sacrifices the amount of Life and Energy Shield from Energy Shield before Life. In other words, low-life builds should not have the skill disable on use as long as they have enough Energy Shield to cover both the Life and Energy Shield costs.
3.3.0	Now removes 30% of life and energy shield to deal damage over time, as opposed to removing all but 1HP and dealing instant damage. Now has the "duration" tag. All vaal gems now include their non-vaal counterpart. Now has a soul gain prevention period, preventing you from gaining souls for a short period of time after use.
