Assassin's Mark is a curse that causes targets to become more vulnerable to critical strikes. When killed, affected enemies grant life and mana recovery, and have a chance to grant a power charge.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Cursed enemies have an additional x% chance to receive a Critical Strike: This effect is additive with player's current chance to deal a critical strike. For example, if a player has a 20% chance to critically strike with an attack or spell, and it hits a target inflicted with level 1 Assassin's Mark, the target will have an additional 5% chance of receiving a critical strike, for a total of a 25% chance. Because this effect is separate and additive with a player's critical strike chance, which has a maximum of 95%, then Assassin's Mark makes it possible for enemies to have a 100% chance of receiving a critical strike.
  • Cursed enemies take x% increased extra damage from Critical Strikes: This stat is multiplicative with the extra damage from a critical strike, i.e. the base damage (prior to applying Critical Strike Multiplier) will not be affected.[1] As a result characters with 0% critical strike multiplier (e.x. from Elemental Overload)) will not deal any extra damage. Like other stats it's additive with itself from other sources such as the of Toughness map suffix modifier.
  • Assassin's Mark can be turned into an aura by linking it with the Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Blasphemy Support".

Note that helmet enchantments are no longer obtainable since version 3.23.0 and can only be obtained in permanent leagues as already enchanted items from before this patch.
