Lua error: bad argument #2 to 'formatDate': invalid timestamp 'Late July or early August 2017'.

Legacy pays homage to the leagues and items of the past. Do you want to experience the heart-stopping surprise encounters of Invasion, risk valuable items for even more valuable rewards in Talisman, or acquire powerful crafting items in Essence? In the Legacy league, you can choose your own challenges, and even mix and match them.

Description on the official Path of Exile website [1]

The Legacy league and Hardcore Legacy league launched on {{#show: Legacy league|?Has release date}} and are the currently ongoing challenge leagues.[1] The leagues will end when The Fall of Oriath expansion launches. Previously, it was scheduled to end on May 29 2017, but was extended by community request to late July or early August 2017[2][3]. Due to The Fall of Oriath expansion being delayed several weeks, the Legacy leagues are again extended[4]. There is currently no set end date.

In the Legacy leagues, enemies dropped Leaguestones that could be equipped to experience one of 17 previous leagues in the next zone. Up to three Leaguestones could be equipped at a time, and Leaguestones could also have magic modifiers that altered the way the leagues are encountered. Not only was it possible to obtain league-specific items this way, the Legacy leagues offered a chance to obtain a Relic unique item, a special version of unique items with its original legacy item stats. They could be randomly obtained in an Ancient Reliquary by using an Ancient Reliquary KeyAncient Reliquary KeyWhispered memory,

All characters and stashes will be moved to Standard league and Hardcore league respectively when the leagues end. Characters that die in the Hardcore Legacy league are immediately moved to the permanent Standard league.
