Shaper items are powerful items with modifiers not found elsewhere, as well as higher-tier versions of some existing modifiers. They can be recognized by their cosmic starry background, and little red icons next to their name. Shaper items can only be obtained in maps in the Atlas of Worlds where the Shaper holds influence or by defeating the Shaper himself. Shaper items can be of any rarity, including unique. Another way to get a shaper item is from divination cards or to complete Delves.

Shaper items always drop Rare (other than the uniques below) with at least one Shaper affix. Modifying the item with e.g. a Chaos Orb is not guaranteed to produce a Shaper affix. A Shaper item retains its status when modified with currency, allowing the creation of arbitrary Shaper unique items.
