Doedre Stamatis was a thaumaturgist and pupil of Maligaro. When Maligaro cut her tongue off, she embraced her loss and took on the surname Darktongue and took on an innovative mean of spellcasting -- from the theme of items, presumably curses. According to Doedre's DamningDoedre's Damning

Doedre was a thaumaturgist and disciple of Malachai, one of the Godless Three along with Maligaro and Shavronne.

Doedre Darktongue knew the Way of the Thaumaturge.

In order to receive, one must give... without hesitation.

Doedre is a former pupil of the the thaumaturgist Maligaro, exhibiting exceptional "malevolence" during her studies.

While Doedre lacked Maligaro's sense of style,

she surpassed her master in pure malevolence.

In The Western Forest (Act 2) players find a Proclamation in the center of the stone circle - a stone plaque with a description of the fault of the Doedre and the award for her punishment.
