Mysterious Harbingers have appeared throughout Wraeclast. Harbingers use a language never before heard by the people of Wraeclast. Their true nature remains a mystery to be solved.

The Harbinger league and Hardcore Harbinger league were a pair of challenge leagues. The leagues started on {{#show: Harbinger league|?Has release date}} along with the release of Version 3.0.0 and ended on {{#show: Harbinger league|?Has end date}}.
In this league, zones may contain a Harbinger. Harbingers summon enemies to fight the player while empowering them in different ways, and they can only be harmed by killing their minions. Harbingers can drop currency shards, for both ones seen in Wraeclast as well as their own currency. If the player can find the mysterious origins of these Harbingers and stop them, they may find a fragment of a Harbinger unique, which grants the power to command Harbingers themselves.
All characters and stashes were moved to Standard league and Hardcore league respectively when the leagues ended. Characters that died in the Hardcore Harbinger league were immediately moved to the permanent Standard league.
Challenges and Rewards
The Harbinger leagues included 40 optional challenges.[2] Completing them awarded the following microtransactions:
