Path of Exile: Betrayal is the eighth major expansion for Path of Exile. It was officially announced by Grinding Gear Games on November 13, 2018[1] and was released on December 8, 2018.[2]

- New veiled mod (initially a league-mechanics, went core at 3.6.0)

- New methods to unlock hideouts
- Hideout is account-wide
- New Atlas of Worlds and maps
- Acid Caverns Map replaced the Acid Lakes map
- Crater Map replaced the Tribunal Map
- Fungal Hollow Map replaced the Springs Map
- Glacier Map replaced the Gorge Map
- Primordial Blocks Map replaced the Torture Chamber Map
- A new challenge league, Betrayal league
