Template:Gem Infobox Contagion is a spell which deals chaos damage to all enemies in the area, and spreads when an enemy dies. Neither the duration of Contagion or associated degeneration effects (Essence Drain) are reset when spread to allies on death.
Skill functions and interactions
Spell Damage, Chaos Damage, and Damage Over Time modifiers affect the damage over time component of this spell, while Area of Effect Damage does not.[1] The Area of Effect can be increased with #% increased Radius of Area Skills modifiers, for example Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Increased Area Of Effect".

EssenceDrainRoyale - Deals (6-82) to (9-124) Chaos Damage, Deals (20.8-285.9) Base Chaos Damage per second, Base duration is 2.00 seconds, Modifiers to Spell Damage apply to this Skill's Damage Over Time effect, Regenerate +0.30% of Debuff Damage as Life (page) - Enemies that die with Essence Drain and Contagion active spread it to nearby enemies.
