Harvest crafting
Quick Guide: This article has a quick guide that shows you how to unlock Harvest Crafting from maps and use the crafts in your hideout.
Harvest Crafting or Horticrafting refers to creating or improving items by utilizing harvested modifiers, or "crafts". It was introduced in the Harvest league and added to the core game in the Echoes of the Atlas expansion. Players can explore maps to find entrances to the The Sacred Grove which offer pre-created Horticrafting gardens. Slaying the monsters will generate Harvest crafts. These crafts can be captured and stored in the Horticrafting Station which can be used from a player's hideout. A maximum of 15 crafts can be stored, and crafts can be freely added, removed or used at any time.
These crafts allow players to create greatly improved rare items, because they allow greater control over the modification process verses using orbs.
- For example, the craft "Augment an item with a new Life modifier" works in a similar fashion to an Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Exalted Orb", but offers the ability to add a Life-related modifier, rather than simply adding one of hundreds of possible modifiers at random.
- And if players are unhappy with the Life modifier added and want a different one, they can simply use the craft "Remove a Life modifier and add a Life modifier" which preserves all mods on the item except for the Life modifier. And this process can be repeated until players get the exact mod they are looking for.
- Certain crafts are completely unique to Harvest crafting and cannot be performed with any other method currently in the game. For example, the craft "Change a modifier that grants Fire Resistance into a similar tier modifier that grants Lightning Resistance" is completely unique and allows players to "fix" items that are perfect for their build but have a resistance modifier that they don't need.
Mechanics
Harvest crafts can be applied normal, magic and rare items. Unique items cannot be modified but a few enchants can be applied to them, if applicable.
Every Harvest craft has a certain level.
- Crafts can be applied to items upto 10 levels higher, which means that a craft of level 60 can be used to modify an item level 70.
- Any items with an item level higher than 86 are treated as being at item level 86, which means that a craft of level 76 can be used to modify an item level 86 or even item level 100.
Trading
Crafts cannot be traded between players, but players can trust-trade their items to other players (sellers) and have them use the crafts stored in their Horticrafting Station, after which the seller will return the modified item back to the owner, for a fee. There is obvious risk in this method and players should only do this with friends they trust or with sellers who have a good reputation.

Modifier groups
Tip: To learn which tag a given modifier falls under, roll-over an item while pressing the Alt key. You will see the modifier tags above the modifier.
Eg. "Adds # to # Cold Damage" falls under the groups of Attack, Cold, Elemental and Damage.
