Melee Splash is a support gem that can be linked with a single-target melee skill gem to add an area of effect (AoE) with a radius of 14 units to the hit.

Melee Splash does not work with melee skills that already have AoE, such as Module Error: Too many skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Ground Slam". Please choose only one of the following ids:

, although it is a Melee Skill and is not AoE, it is not supported by Melee Splash.

Stat modifiers from any source which would apply to an AoE skill will also apply to the AoE component of Melee Splash. These mods include:

  • Area of Effect radius
  • Area Damage

However, damage on target initially struck does not count as an AoE and will not be affected by relevant bonuses, using splash effectively grants us a normal hit on our primary target plus a donut-shaped AoE around it.
