Note that GGG may disabled some of the modifiers. In some case, some mod appear to an area but not actually affect it. Such as [[rogue exile]]s are not actually spawning in [[The Tidal Island]] , probably for balance reason. While for [[The Twilight Strand (Act 1)]], GGG declared the extra modifier does not appear in that area. However, in fact it does, but only Breach and Torment mod works, while mods such as Invasion, Rogue Exiles and Strongbox does not.

Mayhem is a type of event. In Mayhem, a large amount of a random challenge league content will spawn in zones, rotating by the hour. It replaces the older Eternal Torment and Exiles Everywhere format races.[1]

List of modifiers

Each combat area of the game, excluding The Twilight Strand (Act 1) (see notes below), has one of the following mods:

Scarabs and the Atlas passive tree apply to the additional mechanics from Mayhem modifiers. This can provide some synergy in maps:

The Resistance and Ailment Protection Mastery for You cannot be Maimed; You cannot be Hindered will be very helpful to prevent unnecessary slows.
