Ball Lightning
This skill was released accidentally in Version 1.1.0 and was removed until Version 1.1.5.[1][2]
Skill Functions and Interactions
Ball Lightning is a slow moving projectile, that strikes targets with bolts of lightning around itself. Lightning bolts strike targets every 200 milliseconds and each target cannot be hit more often than this. That restriction is shared between all balls fired on the same cast.[3]
- Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Lesser Multiple Projectiles" and Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Greater Multiple Projectiles" support gems are a DPS loss, as with any other skill, but the benefit is a better Area of Effect coverage and clear.
- Balls cast by Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Multiple Traps" do not share 200 ms delay between each other because every trap counts as a separate "caster".
- Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Spell Echo"'s second cast does not share 200 ms delay with the first one.
- Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Increased Area of Effect" increases the length of lightning bolts.
- Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Concentrated Effect" and "area of effect damage" nodes do nothing.
- Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Slower Projectiles" makes targets receive more lightning strikes per cast, effectively increasing your dps, but also shortens ball's travel time, i.e. reducing aoe coverage.
