Blood Hunt is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Warlock of the Mists that grants the Ravenous skill. Allocating this passive also grants the ability to see a monster's monster category under their health bar.

Ravenous is a spell that consumes a corpse near the targeted location, granting a buff that provides more damage against and less damage taken from monsters of the same monster category as the consumed corpse:

This buff has no duration and persists permanently in that instance or until you die[1]. The buff can only provide bonuses against one monster category at a time and is overwritten when a new corpse is consumed.

Players can purchase corpse items from the Breaker of Oaths to quickly generate a corpse of the desired monster category for situations like pinnacle boss encounters where the desired corpse type may be unavailable.
