Mark is a spell skill. It is a subset of curse skill, which both mark and hex share the same curse limit cap. However, mark has its own maximum cap, which is 1 and currently no way to increase this cap.

Since mark skill can curse only one target, the skill is designed for single target. Unique monsters of the game usually have less hex effectiveness, but this less effect of the hex curse debuff, does not affect the effectiveness of the Mark's debuff effect.
