Ward

Ward is a form of defence that reduces the damage taken from a hit equal by the amount of Ward, then go on cooldown. Ward recharges 5 seconds after it depletes. Unlike energy shield, taking damage will not interrupt the Ward restoration time.
Ward can only be found in item bases found from expeditions and Iron Flasks.
Mechanics
Ward reduces the final damage of the hit. It is taken before energy shields and after Aegis and guard skill buffs.[1]
