Vaal Absolution is a MinionVaalspell that causes one of your Sentinels of Absolution to ascend into an apparition of Innocence, causing it to gain new spells, overrides its durations, and improves its damage and damage reduction. Using this skill while an Ascended Sentinel is currently active will refresh its duration.
The Ascended Sentinel does not count towards your regular Sentinel of Absolution limit and instead has a unique limit of 1 (meaning it's possible to have 3 regular sentinels + 1 ascended sentinel), and innately deals 200% more Damage and takes 70% less Damage. Any buffs and debuffs on your Sentinel before it is Ascended is retained when transformed. The chosen Sentinel's minion duration is reset when ascending, and recasting this spell refreshes its duration.
Vaal Absolution can only be cast on Sentinels of Absolution created from the base skill granted by that specific gem.[1]
