Sanctified Relics are currently bugged, causing them to be considered an "equipped item", unlike {{il|Thief's Trinket}}s.<ref>https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1733474#p13674912</ref><ref>https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3337249</ref><ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/zxy95w/psa_sanctified_relics_count_as_equipped_items_and/</ref> This can have useful effects in some cases, but is otherwise detrimental. The following are some items affected by this bug:
* {{il|Voll's Vision}} and {{il|Malachai's Vision}} - Corrupted Sanctified Relics will brick Voll's Vision, but is required for Malachai's Vision, and vice versa for non-Corrupted Sanctified Relics.
* {{il|Shadowstitch}} - Corrupted Sanctified Relics will increase Life and Energy Shield, but further reduce resistances.
* {{il|The Ascetic}} and {{il|Hidden Potential}} - Sanctified Relics count as an equipped Magic item.
* {{il|The Eternity Shroud}} and {{il|Replica Eternity Shroud}} - Sanctified Relics will prevent the {{c|mod|Hits ignore Enemy Monster Chaos Resistance}} modifier from functioning as they cannot be Influenced.

For relics that only affect the Sanctum, see Relic.

This article describes historical game content.

The Forbidden Sanctum was re-introduced in Version 3.22.0, but sanctified relics were not added to the game.

Sanctified relics are a type of item that is exclusive to the Sanctum league. Sanctified Relics are special versions of Templar relics that provide more general modifiers to the character, and have effect even outside of the Forbidden Sanctum.[1] They are marked with an orange glow behind the item's art. They can be placed in the Relic Altar to provide stats to the character directly both inside and outside the Sanctum.

Mechanics

  • Sanctified Relics can be found in the Sanctum as rewards from guards, minibosses or bosses, or purchased from Sister Divinia for 600 Aureus in areas of level 75 or higher.
  • They can be stored in a special separate stash, which can also be placed as a hideout decoration.
  • Sanctified relics are equipped in the inventory separately from the relics in the Relic Altar, and limited to 1. They are not considered an equipped item, similar to Thief's TrinketThief's TrinketCorrupted.
  • Relics are unmodifiable and account-bound, and are always Magic.
  • Sanctified Relics can be vendored 5 to 1 to obtain a new one with random modifiers.
  • Sanctified Relics can be corrupted by using an invocation, which adds a fixed keystone as a corrupted implicit modifier.
