Mechanics

When the player hits an enemy with an attack using Mjölner, one of each lightning spell socketed in Mjölner will be cast instantly, once per hit and without costing mana, similar to a trigger gem. If multiple spells are socketed, then they are cast in the order of the sockets, starting from the top left and working down through the links, sequentially. For instance, if you have , , and linked from top to bottom, the Arc will always cast on the first hit, then the Storm Call on the second, then the Spark on the third, repeating the sequence with successive hits. Note that multiple copies of the same spell socketed into Mjolner all go on cooldown at the same time, meaning the same spell cannot be triggered multiple times per hit. Socketed spells are only cast on hits that are not evaded, so taking Resolute Technique is extremely helpful for non-crit builds. Each gem has a 250ms cooldown once triggered, although trigger order is preserved even the cooldown has passed. In the previous example, were Arc triggered with the first hit, and the player hit again past the cooldown (ie 400ms later), Storm Call would trigger next.

Dual wielding: While dual wielding, socketed lightning spells will only cast on hit with the Mjölner they are socketed in.
