An Ascendancy Class grants access to new Ascendancy Skill Tree specific for the class you've chosen.
Overview
Choosing an Ascendancy Class after completing the Lord's Labyrinth for the first time allows you to gain access to a new Ascendancy Skill Tree specific for the class you've chosen. Each character class comes with 3 associated ascendancy classes (Scion 1 ascendancy classes) for a total of 19 ascendancy classes.
The first time you complete the Labyrinth on each difficulty, you will receive two Ascendancy Skill Points for its skill tree for a total of 6 Ascendancy Skill Points.
