Essence of Insanity

Essence of Insanity is an essence. It can only be obtained by using a on a group of monsters trapped by an Essence of Scorn, Envy, Misery or Dread of any level (the purple map-only essences). See here for more info.

Helmet	of the Essence - Socketed Gems gain 50% of Physical Damage as extra Lightning Damage (Suffix)
Body	of the Essence - Gain Onslaught for 3 seconds when Hit (Suffix)
Boots	of the Essence - 12% increased Movement speed while on Burning, Chilled or Shocked ground (Suffix)
Gloves	of the Essence - Socketed Gems have 16% more Attack and Cast Speed (Suffix)
Weapon	of the Essence - Triggers Level 20 Spectral Spirits when Equipped +3 to maximum number of Spectral Spirits (Suffix)
Belt	of the Essence - 10% increased Movement Speed during any Flask Effect (Suffix)
Amulet	of the Essence - 10% chance to Recover 10% of Mana when you use a Skill (Suffix)
Shield	of the Essence - 25% chance to gain a Power Charge when you Block (Suffix)

Note: the Spectral Spirits skill summons 3 permanent floating skulls similar to , and can be supported by gems socketed in the weapon.

Version history

Version	Changes
3.10.0	Increases and reductions to reflected damage taken (such as the Sextant modifier or the Yugul God Power) now also affect your minions.
3.1.0	When used on a belt, Essence of Insanity now grants 10% increased Movement Speed during any Flask effect, up from 5%. , Spiders created from Arakaali's Fang, and the spirit skulls from the can no longer taunt their enemies.
2.5.0	The gloves mod from Essence of Insanity now grant "Socketed gems have 16% More Attack and Cast Speed" (down from 20%). Existing items will not be changed.
2.4.0	Introduced to the game.
