Harbingers are a type of monsters that cannot be harmed directly. Harbingers summon enemies to fight the player while empowering them in different ways, and they can only be harmed by killing their minions. Harbingers can drop currency shards, for both ones seen in Wraeclast as well as their own currency.
Harbingers do not spawn naturally in maps unlike most other forms of Extra Content. They can be encountered via the Ominous Arrival Atlas passive skill, using the Harbinger map device crafting option, in Kirac's Atlas missions, in Harbinger nodes in the Azurite Mine, or by using a Harbinger ScarabHarbinger ScarabStack Size: 20Area contains 3 additional HarbingersTheir troops came in numbers uncountable and from lands unknown. Can be used in a personal Map Device to add modifiers to a Map.
.
Abilities
Harbingers are invincible enemies that summon waves of enemies and summon new ones as they are defeated. Harbingers can also indirectly attack by empowering their minions, such as creating a Righteous Fire aura around a monster or have all monsters use Flame Dash. At higher levels, Harbingers can also summon Obelisks that can attack or power up their monsters.
Unlike the player version, Harbinger can still cast Mark skill as aura, as well as Hex as aura.
Variants
- Harbinger (Hatred) (the no.15)
- Harbinger (Wrath) (the no.16)
- Harbinger (Anger) (the no.17)
- Harbinger (Enfeeble) (the no.18)
- Harbinger (Assassin's Mark) (the no.19)
- King Harbinger (the no.30)

Harbingers drop primarily currency shards. Shards from Harbingers are not affected by modifiers to Item Quantity - either from the player[1] or area modifiers[2](tested by Prohibited Library). Item quantity does apply in Kirac's Memory of Survivor's Guiltof Survivor's Guilt
Suffix
Players in Areas take on the form of Harbingers
Items found in Areas are replaced by stacks of Currency Shards. Modifiers to item rarity do not affect currency shards in either case.
