Heart of Destruction is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Elementalist. It grants you the Convergence buff when you hit a unique enemy, granting 30% more elemental damage for 4 seconds. There is an 8 second cooldown between gaining Convergence. You gain increased area of effect while you don't have Convergence.

Heart of Destruction in Ruthless mode does use the Convergence mechanic. Instead, it causes your elemental damage from hits to be resisted by the lowest Elemental Resistance, similar to The AdmiralThe Admiral
