This page is about the keystone passive. For the notable passive previously known as "Transcendence", see Persistence.

Transcendence is a keystone passive skill that causes armour to reduce elemental damage taken from hits instead of physical damage, whilst also reducing your maximum elemental resistances[1].

Armour applies to Fire, Cold and Lightning Damage taken from Hits instead of Physical Damage is a boolean property that armour applies to that damage and overrides any other value of Armour transfer (e.g. Juggernaut)[2].

Elemental resistances still apply to elemental hits and are applied prior to the armour component of the damage reduction calculation. Additionally, hits that deal multiple elements will have each element individually scale by armour (rather than the entire hit)[3].

The penalty to maximum elemental resistances can be mitigated by items such as Loreweave and Replica Loreweave.
