Scold's Bridle is a unique Mind CageMind CageEnergy Shield: (73-84)Requires Level 65, 138 Int.

Drop restrictions

This item was exclusive to the Torment league. It is currently only obtainable by trading, from Jack in the Box divination card set or through Zana's map device.

Item mechanics

Scold's Bridle's unique effect causes the player to take secondary damage, and as such it cannot be evaded, blocked, spell blocked, dodged, or spell dodged. Damage taken due to this item is reduced by physical damage reduction, including armour.

On hit effects: When casting a spell that cost at least 1 mana, the damage taken is considered a hit, which is able to proc on hit effects such as Module Error: Too many skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Vaal Molten Shell". Please choose only one of the following ids:
HoundBossVaalMoltenShell - Base duration is 5.00 seconds, Deals 217 to 325 Fire Damage, 50000 additional Armour (page)
VaalMoltenShell - Base duration is 9.00 seconds, Modifiers to Skill Effect Duration also apply to this Skill's Soul Gain Prevention, Buff grants +(50-858) to Armour, (35-39)% of Damage from Hits is taken from the Buff before your Life or Energy Shield, Buff can take Damage equal to 20% of your Armour, up to a maximum of 10000, Reflects (300-9000)% of Damage taken from Buff as Fire Damage each second,, or when Buff expires or is depleted (page)
explosion. Casting a spell that costs 0 mana will not proc the damage from Scold's Bridle due to converting 0% of mana cost to physical damage. Being under the effect of Immortal Call will still allow on hit effects to activate.

Damage conversion: You can convert damage taken by using "physical damage converted taken as" effects such as Lightning Coil but you can't convert them with "x% of physical damage converted to" effects such as Hrimsorrow.

Self-crit: You can't crit yourself with the damage taken, even using the Assassin's Mark curse or Reckless Defence jewel.
