Сurses are a type of temporary debuffs.

Mechanics

Curses have a limited duration, but can be refreshed by applying a curse again.

Monsters and maps can have modifiers that make them (or monsters inside of them, in the case of maps) hexproof or immune to curses.

Act and map bosses have 60% reduced Curse Effect.[1] Note that this is a reduced modifier, so it will stack additively with other increases and reductions to curse effect:[2]

Curses can be turned into an aura by linking them with the Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Blasphemy Support".

Curse limit

By default, creatures can have one curse active at a time. While a curse is active, casting a different curse will override it. The following can increase the number of curses player can apply on an enemy:

This allows for a theoretical maximum of 8 curses on an enemy at one time.

In addition, Self-FlagellationSelf-Flagellation
Viridian Jewel
