Cleansed Thoughts is a notable passive skill that doubles chaos resistance, including both positive and negative modifiers to it.^[1]

You can only acquire this passive through Anointment (using Oils) on an Amulet or valid Blight Unique item.

Mechanics

With this passive an endgame character who normally has a -60% base chaos resistance (due to the resistance penalties from fighting Kitava) will have a base of -120% chaos resistance.

However the value of positive modifiers to Chaos resistance will also be doubled, which means you will need around 28% less (98% needed vs 135% normally) chaos resistance than normal to reach the cap of 75% from there.

The value of this passive also increases slightly the higher your chaos resistance cap is, with you needing around 30% less resistance to reach the final maximum resistance cap of 90% (105% needed vs 150% normally.)

While this passive can allow you to reach your chaos resistance cap more easily, note that if you have any source of negative chaos resistance (due to things like curses and other items such as OskarmOskarm
