However the value of positive modifiers to Chaos resistance will also be doubled, which means you will need around 28% less (98% needed vs 135% normally) chaos resistance than normal to reach the cap of 75% from there. 
 
The value of this passive also increases slightly the higher your chaos resistance cap is, with you needing around 30% less resistance to reach the final maximum resistance cap of 90% (105% needed vs 150% normally.)

Chaos Resistance is doubled [1]

Cleansed Thoughts is a notable passive skill that doubles chaos resistance, including both positive and negative modifiers to it.[1]

You can only acquire this passive through Anointment (using Oils) on an Amulet or valid Blight Unique item.

Mechanics

With this passive an endgame character who normally has a -60% base chaos resistance (due to the resistance penalties from fighting Kitava) will have a base of -120% chaos resistance.
