[[Gathering Winds]], which grants the player character the Tailwind buff, also increases the effectiveness of the buff when the player character already has Tailwind.
Tailwind can exist both as a standalone buff, or as an Aura-like effect such as [[Slipstream]].
 
The buff itself does not stack, but is scaled by the number of [[active skill|skills]] used recently (within 4 seconds), via [[Gale Force]], since the Gathering Winds passive has the mod {{c|mod|10% increased Effect of Tailwind on you for each Skill you've used Recently, up to 100%}}.{{confirm|3.13 changes}} The player needs to use 10 different skills to reach 100% increased effect of Tailwind.
 
The Gathering Winds version of Tailwind behaves like an aura, also granting nearby allies tailwind. This will, however, not scale the buff for your allies as it does for you.
