Mechanics

The effects of Tailwind can be affected by an increasing Buff Effect, which can only be obtained through the use of .

Gathering Winds, which grants the player character the Tailwind buff, also increases the effectiveness of the buff when the player character already has Tailwind.

The buff itself does not stack, but is scaled by the number of skills used recently (within 4 seconds), via Gale Force, since the Gathering Winds passive has the mod 10% increased Effect of Tailwind on you for each Skill you've used Recently, up to 100%.^{[confirmation needed because of 3.13 changes]} The player needs to use 10 different skills to reach 100% increased effect of Tailwind.

The Gathering Winds version of Tailwind behaves like an aura, also granting nearby allies tailwind. This will, however, not scale the buff for your allies as it does for you.
