Monster categories are groupings of monster types that share a property. Some monster categories are used to populate maps with specific features. In rare cases, item or passive skill stats may behave differently based on the monster category or type being fought.
Some monsters may belong to more than one category, but will always have a primary category which is visible if the player has the Ravenous skill.
