This guide discusses how to choose and craft an effective set of equipment for completing heists with quality loot.
Choice of trinket
Thief's TrinketsThief's TrinketCorrupted are equipped by the player character. Your choice of trinket is up to you, but the following options are good for getting more Divine OrbsDivine OrbStack Size: 20Randomises the values of the random modifiers on an itemRight click this item then left click a magic, rare or unique item to apply it. and Chaos OrbsChaos OrbStack Size: 20Reforges a rare item with new random modifiersRight click this item then left click a rare item to apply it. out of heists.

Note: You cannot craft Thief's Trinkets as they drop corrupted from Grand Heists.
Optimal equipment
The following rogue's equipment illustrates the highest tier of mods and are hard to craft, but even lower rolls are fine for general usage.
Brooch
For all rogues, assuming that you want more currency drops in heists: (Stacked Deck also counts as currency)
Foliate BroochFoliate BroochRequires 5 in Any job(26-30)% increased Rarity of Items dropped in HeistsCan only be equipped to Heist members. with:

Note that quantity and rarity mods on the player only affects loot from enemies killed in heist, not chests.
Cloak
For all rogues:
Whisper-woven CloakWhisper-woven CloakRequires 5 in Any job5% reduced raising of Alert LevelCan only be equipped to Heist members. with:
|
Other useful mods: (2-5)% chance to not Activate Lockdown in Grand Heists (Suffix) and Players have (6-15)% increased Movement Speed while area is not in Lockdown (Prefix)
Gear and tools
Each rogue can equip a tool to boost their speciality jobs, and a gear to boost their damage, job speed and grant auras to nearby allies. They can equip a gear of any combat style.
Note that +1 bonus to jobs from a tool allows rogues to do higher level jobs that they normally can't do at max level, and also boosts their job speed and strength of their unique passive even past level 5. For example, it is easier to obtain blueprint reveals if Gianna can do higher level counter-thaumaturgy and perception contracts.
Huck is outclassed by other rogues and does not need to be geared for heists. Gianna has no use in Grand Heists after Niles reaches lvl5 deception, so her gear should focus on obtaining blueprint reveals.
Vinderi is the only rogue that has two level 5 skills, demolition and trap disarmament, and thus can use tools of the highest tier for either of them.

Crafting
Equipment shown can be crafted by purchasing/obtaining base items with item level 83+ and then using the alch/scour method (or alternatively, alteration or chaos orbs) to get the roll you need. Heist equipment can have up to four mods.
Crafting steps:
- Visit Path of Exile Trade, and look for the item base (eg: Whisper-woven CloakWhisper-woven CloakRequires 5 in Any job5% reduced raising of Alert LevelCan only be equipped to Heist members.) with the item level 83 (under the Miscellaneous tab).
- Purchase the base, it should cost a few Chaos Orbs at most; Purchase at least 2-5 bases for crafting
- Use an Orb of ScouringOrb of ScouringStack Size: 30Removes all modifiers from an itemRight click this item then left click on a magic or rare item to apply it. to reset the mods on the item
- Use an Orb of AlchemyOrb of AlchemyStack Size: 20Upgrades a normal item to a rare itemRight click this item then left click a normal item to apply it. to craft the item
- If you don't get a good roll, repeat from step 3
- If you get a good roll, stop modifying that item and start crafting another
