"skeletal mage"?

whatever this monster type is called, it is certainly not "Skeletal Mage". Dead Reckoning says "Skeleton Mage", old patch notes say "skeleton caster", and poedb (https://poedb.tw/us/Thunderskull, https://poedb.tw/us/Thunder_Keeper, https://poedb.tw/us/Flame_Priest) never uses the term "mage" and always says "SkeletonCaster(something)" in the metadata. i propose renaming to "Skeleton Caster" as thats what the patch notes used and what theyre called internally. theres no reason to assume that dead reckoning's term for specifically the skeletons summoned by it must also refer to the entire monster type. also, the monster navbox should have Skeleton Caster as a subset of Skeleton (i.e. put in brackets), especially since "skeleton" is definitely a real type while Skeleton Caster is far more dubious. Monster data card are also mined and stored in this wiki so that no need to rely on poedb (just use adv search, untick "main" and tick "monster" namespace) . However, metadata is never meant to be take it seriously , as Templar "monsters" are under the "folder" Axis (pretty obvious refer to Axis powers based on in-game clothing), and the badge on them pretty resemble Nazi. But you never able to dig out in-game dialogue regarding WWII or Nazi. The game has a lot of joke that resemble Christianity / Catholic too and they literally named some monsters Seraphim, Cherubim and Angel, or Cato, Scholar of Light that turn to satanic phase 2, which likely another joke on Catholic priest scandals, which these obvious interpretation are however unable to add to wiki as fact, unless the dev declared they are indeed that way.

While for patch notes, which is more official but sometimes the dev just use a name there but never appear in-game, such as gem frog. They literally say they are now known as monster type "Croaker" but in the Bestiary and the cages, they are refer as "gem frog".

I don't object to move the page to "Skeleton Mage" or "Skeleton mage" which is the only in-game mention of the monster type. Neokowloon (talk) 10:26, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

I have not tested in PVP to see can i view the name of player summoned Skeleton Mage, but it seems they are actually called "Summoned Skeleton Caster". Neokowloon (talk) 10:48, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

"Summoned Skeleton Mage" is used in official version 3.0.0 patch notes. "Summoned Skeleton Mage minion's cast time has been reduced to 1.2 seconds." "Dead Reckoning: now grants the ability to summon an additional 5 Skeleton Mages, up from 3, and is now limited to 3." Skeleton Mage is also the term most used by the community.
