Cleansed Thoughts is a notable passive skill that doubles chaos resistance, including both positive and negative modifiers to it.[1]
It is only available by anointing an item (amulet or Blight-specific unique that has the help text: "This item can be anointed by Cassia").
With this passive an endgame character who normally has a -60% base chaos resistance (due to the resistance penalties from fighting Kitava) will have a base of -120% chaos resistance.
However the value of positive modifiers to Chaos resistance will also be doubled, which means you will need around 28% less (98% needed vs 135% normally) chaos resistance than normal to reach the cap of 75% from there.
