Path of Exile: Ascendancy is the fourth expansion for Path of Exile. It was officially announced by Grinding Gear Games on August 12, 2016[1] and will be released on Semtember 2nd, 2016[2].
Chris Wilson stated that the expansion was developed in order to improve the end-game, in particular the mapping experience which has been left untouched by previous expansions [3]
