Projectile damage

I'd like to see a discussion/example for increased projectile damage interaction with converted damage on projectiles, like burning arrow, ice shot, lightning arrow. The essential thing to clarify is, whether a 10% projectile damage node applies twice -- once for the original physical projectile, and once for the converted damage -- or just once to the original physical projectile.Irfy (talk) 11:26, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

There is nothing in the game that converts any type of damage to or from projectile damage, so I'm not sure how projectile damage is even relevant. Perhaps you could clarify the issue so that I can try to understand what you mean. —Vini (t|c) 12:36, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Other Conversions

Aside from damage, there are also other conversions within Path of Exile (Presence of Chayula, Sanctuary of Thought). These are functionally identical, so the question needs to be answered: Should we rename the page to "Conversion" and discuss it in a more general sense? --DagonxXx (talk) 9:42, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Conversion can be discussed in a more general sense and broken down into specifics where necessary. The most prevalent type of conversion in PoE is damage conversion, so it makes sense to have that as its own section. I'm in favor of your suggested change though. Would you like to make a start on the article rework? —Vini (t|c) 02:43, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Physical damage nodes before Damage conversion

Hi there,

I am fairly new to the game and of course got recently involved with the dm conversion system. I learned a lot, but from what I read, wasn't clear to me, if the passive skill tree nodes and the buffs go before dm conversion?

Is it

1) Flat dm(from weapon) -> dm conversion("Converted" to or "Added as") -> modifiers(passive skill tree modifiers, buffs, gem/equipment modifiers)

or

2) Flat dm(from weapon) -> passive skill tree modifiers(% increased physical dm), buffs -> dm conversion("Converted" to or "Added as") -> modifiers(gem/equipment modifiers)

Thank you, stay healthy! :)
